I rode a big electric locomotive pulling maybe 15 cars. Big time railroading. The photos I took are in a two-part blog at:

Date: 08/20/19 20:54 Re: A Cab Ride on the Deccan Queen, Feb. 1982 Author: dwatry Wow very cool series. I rode from Mumbai to Pune and back in 2013 when my daughter was living in Pune and that is quite a ride! The ascent of the Ghats is one of the more imprerssive mountain railroads anywhere.
