FCCA Peru in Lima question
Author: inCHI

I'm doing research on FCCA in Peru, and through watching videos posted by Peruvian railfans, I've noticed that there seem to be some EMD's in operation in Lima. From what I've seen, they are an ex-KCS SD40T-2, and ex-FURX SD40-2, and a JT26CW-2 (#701). The two American built SD40-2's don't have any clearance adjustments, which makes me assume that they are captive to Lima and some area around there. A lot of clips show them pulling white tank cars of what might be sulfuric acid. I'm just wondering - aside from trains coming from the mines down the mainline, are there local and industry jobs in or around Lima, or is there any kind of shuttle operation that the EMD's are on?
