Indian Railways Beyer Garratt 815

I took the photo at National Rail Museum, New Delhi, India in May 1981.  She is still there.

Bengal Nagpur Railway number 815 is a 5 ft 6 in gauge Beyer Garratt built in Manchester by Beyer Peacock & Co Ltd (serial number 6594 of 1930).

A Garratt (often referred to as a Beyer Garratt) is a type of steam locomotive that is articulated into three parts. Its boiler is mounted on the centre frame, and two steam engines are mounted on separate frames, one on each end of the boiler. Articulation permits larger locomotives to negotiate curves and lighter rails that might restrict large rigid-framed locomotives.  Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garratt

They have a beautifully restored 4-8-4+4-8-4 numbered 6029 Down Under that is operated quite frequently. A lot of video on Youtube of it exists.

The National Rail Museum in New Delhi has a fascinating collection of old steamers.  'Lots of gems like the ones that you posted, Marty.

Thailand also had two Beyer Garratt locomotives. Both still exist and are on display.

What is the total length of this engine, and would it qualify as one of the largest Garratts ever built?
