A couple of former NW C36-7 here in town (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, today morning I found this couple of BB36-7's parked here at EVP yard. These are former Norfolk Western C36-7's 8503 and 8523. They were imported by Vale mining in 2003 and then sold to fca, now underVLI management.

More great photos Pedro.
Having been an engineer up here in the US I am not sure if I will ever get used to four trucks under these locomotives.
They are very unique. Thanls for sharing.

Thanks for posting.

8523 has a very unique nose that 8503 does not seem to have.

Very nice and interesting photos.

Are the trucks a Flei-coil design and what is the wheel base measurement?  Is there a supplier of HO scale side frames that would fit Athearn or Atlas 2 axle locomotive trucks?  Or are there South American HO model makers that have eninges available?

Hi, I do not have the wheel base measurement here but I asked a friend at Vale shops to looking up for me.
The model railroaders here use to scratch the side frames of these BB trucks using Frateschi U20C side frames. You need four of them to model the BB's.Noboby produces the side frames for sale.
Yes, most modelers here use Atlas or Kato models as a base for the BB's or DDM45's.
