It almost looks like a GG1 on a starvation diet! Date: 09/18/19 16:12 Re: Some French Trains, What Did I Shoot? October 1988 Author: GettingShort Interesting stuff. The French certainly had a very eclectic tastes in rolling stock. Some of the odditys migrated to Romania and remain in service to this day. I think that grey brick of a motor in the fourth image lingers on in Bucharest hauling around ex-Paris Metro rolling stock.

Picture #3 is a dual-system unit (25 kV AC; 1.5 kV DC) from the 1960s. Picture #6 is a type EAD (Elements Automoteurs Doubles) diesel railcar of the Class X4300/4500/4600/4700. Ray Edited 2 time(s). October 1988 Author: cricketer8for9 The CC14000 class were, unusually for Western Europe low speed, high tractive effort freight motors. I may be corrected, but it think the max speed was 60kph (c35mph). Northern France still had a lot of heavy industry at that time, though, like much of Western Europe de-industrialisation was beginning.

October 1988 Author: eminence_grise The BB 63778 is one of a fleet of 580 similar locomotives built by Brissoneau and Lotz between 1952 and 1971. This locomotive was scapped in 2004.
An SNCF roster says this locomotive was adapted the yard switching. |
