The end of ex US C30's (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, my friend Rony visited ZPD yard at Pederneiras SP and found some former US C30's been torched up. Sad end for them, but it's life. New AC44i's mean less and less old power in the fleet. Soon, Rumo will be a totally AC44i user.

He also found a MRS sugar train running through ZPD. Also, an old wooden box car been used as an office. It is a nice location to visit.

I see the trucks have been removed from under the frame.  Are they being used elsewhere?

Hi, the trucks were scrapped also. Note them in the short video in the first post.

Progress marches on in Brazil... those are some of my favorite engines, the chug of them is much better sounding than Dash 8/9's. I'm glad I get to see some still in service in Peru soon.
