a well known tragedy in Dundee, Scotland when a bridge failed in a hurricane type storm ,taking a complete passenger train with it into the river Must have been a terrible thing to experience for the passengers and train crew Edited 1 time(s). Sir Thomas Bouch, the civil engineer built many successful railway bridges, some of which are still in use. The collapse of the Tay bridge was a huge tragedy to the British public and Bouch got most of the blame.. Shoddy workmanship was at least partially to blame.
