Second, only to Brazil, the NZR had 146 units, getting its first order in 1955 from GMD in Canada, and EMD in the USA, (1400-1429) all with fabricated bogies. Author: pedrop I like G12 a lot. I remember the time they run as main power in the railroads here. Now they are yard switchers or workinig in MoW trains. Only EFDTC railroad use them as main power.

At this time, Vale mining is sending four G12 to work as yard switchers in my area. Vale has the best G12 here in Brazil. Its maintenance team is of first quality.
