International Railroad Discussion > MoW inside Vale biggest tunnel ( Brazil)

Hi, Vale mining narrow gauge started a heavy MoW inside Sabará tunnel near here. The bore has 2,908.89 meters long and a grade of 1%. It is a wet tunnel and it is suffering a heavy maintenance for the third time. Now, all crossties and rails will be changed in one time. So, we won't have trains in that  line for 13 days. It means almost  all train in my area will stop too, since most them come and go to Vale system.

1 -3) A special  gate was built to enable to force fresh air to the employees inside the bore.
