Hiroshi:
Ah, spring, such a time of promise.
How busy are the trains and staions, or did you even get close?
Take care and keep posting on TO.

Very nice pictures! It's on my bucket list to one day visit Tokyo while the cherry trees are in full bloom!

railstiesballast-san:

Thank you for asking.
Well, just like business as usual, they are running trains just like another business day.
We have to thank for them rolling trains!

Even though all most all the shopping centres are closed this week-end here in Tokyo.
Not many of us are out there enjoying cherry blossoms.

Stay safe.

I was at Tamagawa station this afternoon.
Tokyu Tamagawa line operates a three-car consist EMUs.
And there is a small bus stop near the station.

I have managed to climb up a little hill behind Tamagawa station, where I can look down the Tamagawa river.
Toyoko line and Meguro line trains are crossing the river here, and far back, Shinkansen, Yokosuka line and Shonan-Shinjikulike trains are passing as well.

At the top of the hill, there is a small part where you can see cherry blossoms like this.
Heading for the north side of the part toward Denenchofu, once again you can look down the Toyoko as well as Meguro line operation.
I was able to catch the return of the "Green Frog scheme." On of only one kind of the scheme applied to Tokyu Class 5050s.

Here are some more from Oh-okayama.
Actually I was inside the campus of Tokyo Institutes of Technologies.
This place is locally known to have big cheery trees.

Thank you very much for posting your photos. I appreciate your effort to catch Tokyo railroad history, the tribute to the "Green Frog" and the living history (Tokyo Metro Class 7000).

As to "Green Frog," here is the original one displayed in Shibuya. It will be transfer to the City of Odate by this summer.Class 7000 EMUs were built between 1974 and 1989, total of 340 cars (Nippon Sharyo, Tokyu, Kawasaki and Kiniki were the builders).
There were 34 of ten-car consists, but later in order to accommodate operational requirements of Tokyu line, some 10 car consists become 8-car consists.
40 cars were exp rot to PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek central jakarta city Jakarta (Indonesia ).
Originally it was designed for Yurakucho line operation. It is sharing both Yurakucho line and Fukutoshin line operation including extended operation to Tokyu Tokyo line and Minato Mirai line. Tokyo Meto Subway System has a plan to retire all of class 7000.

South bound local Class 7000 EMU at Jiyugaoka station waiting for a signal indication.

Hope this helps.
