EMD G12 units.

On a thread some time ago i mentioned my interest in EMD G12 units from around the world we here in New Zealand having had 145 units over the years.

In the 1st photo, what is that little square device above the cab roofline that looks like some kind of signaling device ?  Thank you for the photos, very interesting.

Here are three G12s of Israel Railways, taken in 1988 on the Tel Aviv to Haifa mainline. The third one has a rather interesting history, it was originally delivered to Egypt but was captured by Israel in the Six Day War and remained with Israel Railways. Pictures 1 and 3 were taken in Netanya, picture 2 in Binyamina, between Netanya and Haifa.

Nice units. G8, 12 and 16 are interesting models. We also have B12 and GL8 in Brazil  too.
