International Railway Stations Part 7

Here we have Galle Station, Sri Lanka. Located near the southern end of the national railway system. I rode down from Colombo following an excellent Far Rail steam tour in 2018 wanting to experience normal passenger service. This is the line that sadly and famously was severely damaged in the 2004 tsunami killing many on an ill fated train in the process. Galle is an interesting town on the ocean with nice shops, restaurants and a fort.

About 25 years ago, I knew several computer programmers from Sri Lanka.
They were great guys and really knew their way around computers.
