Date: 08/03/20 02:56 Re: "South Africa" 1973. Author: andersonb109 Ixopo is now home to a preserved portion of the line. A new turntable was being installed on my last visit in 2006. They have on serviceable Garrett there as well as a few smaller Cain railway locos.

Have looked through all my Employee timetables but could not locate Narrow gauge sections. But we have paced NNG 16 garrats at 30mph (50kph) on level sections of track. Date: 08/03/20 19:58 Re: "South Africa" 1973. Author: tomstp That's a "whopping good " speed for 2 ft gauge.
