Interesting export locomotive
Author: wpamtk

I have no information on this image other that it was taken by a group of US railfans on a trip to see steam in Central America in the early 1960s. From the shape of the cab and the builder's plate by the steps it appears to be a General Electric unit. The most interesting thing is that it rides on three trucks: three-axle ones at each end and a two-axle truck in the middle. I've seen a photo of a GE shovel nose (like WP&Y but longer) unit that GE built for Indonesia in the early 1950s with the same truck arrangement.
