International Railroad Discussion > Iron ore train M212 (Brazil)Date: 08/22/20 11:47 Iron ore train M212 (Brazil) Author: pedrop Hi, on Wednesday 19 I visited EPM and EMS yards to watch the arrival of the first VLI ore train coming from Bahia. The ore is coming from Bamin ( Bahia Mining Co) to Vale mining. The consist of the trains are four GE U20C and 40 / 44 GDE class cars loaded up to 60% of the capacity since the tracks from Minas Gerais to Bahia to not support the full load of 110 tons of these cars. Each two trains that arrives at EMS are joined in one 84 ore cars train to Vale.
All pics and videos done with cell phone. Enjoy. Pedro Rezende Vespasiano MG, Date: 08/22/20 11:52 Re: Iron ore train M212 (Brazil) Author: pedrop 1) M212 waiting to enter EPM yard. As you can see, the location has a big grade what makes a challenger to the U20C to start moving from this point.
