How much weight could they carry

In japan do they still use railcars that have one axle on each end ?

There are new answers in the original thread you posted in the Model Railroading discussion.

15 to 17 metric tons is the weight capacity of this car, Tora 90000 series.

"One axle" freight cars should be gone in the JR Freight system. Last known use was in 2012, whern JRF discontinued the use of WAMU 80000 series boxcars used to transport paper products. All other non-container cars like covered hoppers, coal/rock hoppers, gondolas, and tank cars have the two axle trucks, based on what I saw in Japan as recently as this March, and also based on recent paper publications/reports from Japan's railfan magazines.

There MIGHT be one exception to that, a caboose-like crew car that was listed as "active" in a 2015 publication, where it has single axle "trucks." No reports of it being used in recent years.
