The trains passed by here (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, last weekend I was in São Paulo state and could visit some locations that were served by rail in the past. So, I visited the old railroad stations to take pictures of them. These are former Companhia Mogiana (CM) stations of old Amparo branch.

1- 3) Pedreira  is located at old  Km 10. Its hight is 684 meters above the sea level.

Pedreira town is famous for the porcelain trade.

13 - 15) Amparo is the last station of the namesake branch, located at old Km 29  and at 657 meter above the sea level.  From Amparo started the Serra Negra branch that linked some nice towns of the famous balneary circuit , but I had no time to visit the stations this time. In a next visit to the area I intend to go in search of them.

19 - 21) In the city of Bragança Paulista I found this old 2-6-0 steam engine of former Bragantina railroad.  It is located across the road near the entrance of the city. It is abandonned by the local governnent  and homeless are living on it.

What an interesting series Pedro. Lots of NICE looking old stations that are kept up nicely. Too bad the trains are gone. Great to see all the good looking old buildings Interesting catch of the old steam engine. I feel like I've been on an excellent field trip.
