Switching train E731 (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, yesterday I spent sometimes in EVP yard watching the local crew switching train E731. E means  "Express", so this is a priority train like the BNSF Z train. This train came from Bahia state. It usually takes  plastic from EEL yard near here to DPA yard in Bahia. It is a journey of more that 1,300 km. The train is small, with twenty two containers. In this operation here, the train received more thirty containers with steel coils to EEL yard.
Hope every body enjoy the U20C's in action.

19 - 20) Taking the containers with steel.
21) The first car of train E731 without the locomotives.
Since the switching operations used to delay a bit and the evening was coming, I ended my photography section with this last picture.

Uncle Joe, if the world comes back to normal one day, we can do international railroading trips again.  In these crazzy times, even inside our countries is not safe to travel. Let's pray for better days.

Very NICE series! Enjoyed the switching video. One of your engines tried to be an ALCO, lol. Everything looks so green after the rain. With the dark clouds looks like more rain is coming.

These all seem to be narrow gauge trains, but the broad gauge rails appear used as well. What are the differences?

Hi, my area is dual guage since it is also served by MRS railroad (1,600mm).
