International Railroad Discussion > Derailment of train M211 ( Brazil)

Hi, today about 5:00 AM empty ore M211 derailed at Km 845 due to a broken rail. Three U20C lay on their side and eight GDE class ore cars derailed. At this time,  7:45 PM, two cranes are coming to my area on way  to the wreck site. Hope they can pass here tomorrow morning. They are the Vale mining Takraf and VLI Kirow cranes.

1 - 3) Units 2577, 2696 and 2699.

The engineer hurt a leg and was sent to hospital in Belo Horizonte City.

Sorry to see there was a derailment. Glad the engineer got out alive.

That soil is red clay and I bet when it gets wet it will stick on to your shoes until they weigh enough to come off while you are walking.

If you get any pictures of the Kirow Crane in action would liketo see them thanks.

Yes, it is. Terrible when we find a road with that soil in the rain season.
