Finally MRS railroad got the SD70ACe/45. The first unit received a special painting celebrating the new contract with governnent to operate until 2056.

New engines in Brazil are certainly colorful.

How many have been ordered?

MRS bought the EMD Demonstrators, plus a new unit: three SD70ACe and one SD80ACe. The rumors say it also bought part of Eldorado SD70ACe fleet, that are being overhauled at Progress Rail plant. It is a start, since MRS is almost all GE. The last GM/EMD MRS purchased were a few second hand SD40R in US in 2003.

Love the paint on that one! Is that a new unit or a former Demonstrator? 

Hi, this is a new one.  It is leaving EMD plant today. I will  try to take pics  of it here in town.
