International Railroad Discussion > Derailment of grain train J484 (Brazil)Date: 04/03/21 15:24 Derailment of grain train J484 (Brazil) Author: pedrop Another derailment happened not far from my area due to bad tracks in the VLI narrow gauge line to Bahia. This time, loaded grain J484 coming from Pirapora branch derailed between Mascarenhas (EMX) and Cordisburgo (EOR) sidings early in the morning of April1st. Two GE U20C and eight cars were damaged. VLI sent two cranes to the site. For while, the priority is the MoW gang build a side track to allow the trains pass by the location. Then they will remove the locomotives and cars.
Picture from a friend in ghe MoW gang. Pedro Rezende Vespasiano MG, Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/03/21 15:25 by pedrop. Date: 04/03/21 22:09 Re: Derailment of grain train J484 (Brazil) Author: Ritzville Sorry to hear you had another derailment in your area.
