International Railroad Discussion > Train O282 (Brazil)

Yesterday morning I met MRS broad gauge train O282 waiting licence at the North side switching machine of EVP yard. There was an inspection vehicle ahead and the train stayed there until 6:00 PM. I took some pics of the locomotives.
 1 - 3) C44EMi 3951 was the lead unit.

7 - 8) 3674 is a C26-7 rebuilt from an old U23C;
9) 3631 is a U23CA.

10) 3651 is another C26-7;
11) 3631 received a small touch of paint;
12) The train had flat cars with containers and empty coal hoppers.

It's all now.

Yes China is the main customer for Vale ore.  They use the huge Valemax ships to carry the ore from here to Asia and also Europe. Look here
