Morro Velho railroad ( Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, for those who likes tramways and miming railroads, here it is a link to a website about an amazing old narrow gauge railroad that connected the ancient Central of Brasil railroad to the Morro Velho Gold Mining here in Minas Gerais state. This is the oldest gold mine in operation here. It is located near Belo Horizonte and it also has a museum that can be visited.

The owner of this website died in 2017 and we do not know for how long it will be available.  A nice work for sure.

Thanks, Pedro, for posting this link.  It's a very interesting story.  I can't see locomotive 16 going "60 MPH," though.  Gerry

Pedro, that might be something to make copy of to preserve for history. It looks like your would need permission since it is copywrited.

Wow, a most interesting operation under wire. I never knew there were such little electric power units. Thanks for sharing this Pedro.
