Magnesite train C658 in EVP (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, yesterday morning I found train C658 with covered hoppers loaded with Magnesite passing by EVP yard. The train had a Dash 9 and a BB40-2 being moved to EEL yard.

1 - 3) C658 waiting near the upper switching machine  of EVP yard.

Nice series today Pedro. Like the hopper cars. Quite the contrast in size of the GE power. Also like the chugging sound of the GE's.

Hello PedroPop:

Did any trains ever use a caboose or, can you post any caboose pictures?

Always like your postings from an area I will most likely never see in person.

Thanks.

Yes sir, the Winter this year is different. I do not remember cold weather like this in the last twenty years. Here in town we had 9C. In the mountains, we had minus 5C.

Hi, the last railroad to operate caboose was EFA, in the North. The railroad was
closed in 2017 and the jungle is covering everything , including the trains. I will get some pics of caboose operation in Brazil and open a thread here in TO.
