International Railroad Discussion > Huge truck driver strike in Brazil will affect the railroads.

Hi, I opened this thread to mention the huge truck drive strike it is starting in Brazil. The unions of truck drivers decided to stop all trucks in the country to force our supreme court judges to waive  their post since they are doing many actions against the democracy and our liberty. Milions of people were on the streets yesterday for the same reason. For sure, in a few days the strike will affect the life of us all here and also the railroads will be affected. No cargo to or from the trains will be moved. Since the fuel won't arrive in the gas stations, the life in all cities and towns will be affect too. Tough times are coming.

Wow,Getting serious for sure.Truckies down here have had a few demonstrations here in Australia recently ,due to the ridiculous state border closurers because of the Covid.

Sounds like trucking problems. That's one way to open the judges eyes!! Hope the strike doesn't last too long.

Read in El Mercurio (Chile) the strike has ended.

Hi, in nine states the strike is not ended for while. But the supreme court did an agreement with the congress and the president to accept the politics  that will reduce the price of the gas and diesel, beyond other interesting politics to Brazil.

Yeah, truck drivers are not to be messed with, especially if they're part of the Teamsters union. 
It's a real good idea to not cross their picket lines if you value your safety.
