Hi, I received these photos from a friend showing the new SD70LC model developed by EMD of Brazil to broad gauge MRS. It will leave the plant soon and will pass here in town. I hope it can pass here during the day light.

Looks like they pulled the same trick as GE did with the low clearance AC44s, canted the sides of the cab inward from the side windows up. The radiator section looks very much like the SD70BB version also. Thanks Pedro.

Thanks for the posting Pedro. Any chance of getting a picture of the bogie? Just wondering if EMD has gone to the fabricated frame bogie for the broad gauge units in Brazil.

Agree.

Interesting that Board Gauge has tighter clearance requirements than US standard gauge...
