Bracel cellulose train derailment ( Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, the brand new Bracel cellulose train derailed today in the Pederneiras branch of Rumo railroad system. The branch is operated by MRS that brings Cellulose to Santos port. As we can see, the tracks in that branch are too old for these new FTT class 130 tons cellulose cars. Pictures from friends in Facebook.

1 - 3) new FTT class cars derailed a few weeks after enter service in the cellulose train.

Looks like welded rail.  The wreck really tore up a bunch of ties.  Do the railroads every publish information as to what caused their wrecks?

No, they don't. But we know the causes from the employees and friends that work for the railroads.

What a mess, Some really underbody shots of the new cars though.

Very interesting derailment shots showing us the big mess that occures when cars leave the rail,

Cars probably still have "that new car smell."

Cars do not appear to have much damage.
