International Railroad Discussion > A Visit To Buenos AiresDate: 12/09/21 20:26 A Visit To Buenos Aires Author: Mr_Slides It has been 28 years since my last trip to Buenos Aires. Here's an image of a rare ALCO RSD16 (The only ones built). Are there any railfans from BA on TO that would have some time to railfan with me while I am there next week? I arrived 12/15 and depart 12/20. I have 12/18 open.

I was detained once while watching trains at Retiro in BA. It was harmless, they asked a bunch of questions, made a request for a bribe, then let me go. Turns out there was a law (not sure if still in effect) against taking photos or video of trains or facilities owned by the government. I didn't know that at the time. Take care, Mark Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/10/21 07:39 by mamfahr. Date: 12/10/21 16:22 Re: A Visit To Buenos Aires Author: pedrop Beautifull engines. Brazil had RSD12, but they were torched one or two years ago. None survived. It's sad.
