International Railroad Discussion > Curious Indonesian rail / ports ad on U-tubeDate: 03/18/22 09:08 Curious Indonesian rail / ports ad on U-tube Author: Lackawanna484 There's an interesting 90 second ad, sponsored by the government of Japan, in which various Indonesian transportation ministers and executives thank Japan for sharing rail and port management technology. And equipment. Lots of b-roll footage of Indonesian trains, ports loading Maersk, ONE, etc boxes in the ports etc. Language is English.
My guess is Japan wants to assure trade partners that it is an honest trade partner, willing to work with them, etc. Unlike other players who take over ports and squeeze borrowers. Partly due to upgrading, partly due to new bridges and partly because of new airline routes. Indonesia and the Philippines have collected quite a few of thos ships.
