Train D577 and "A Horse with No Name" ( Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Today afternoon I was at Km 624 waiting empty fuel train D577 and I watched some horses near the tracks and I remembered of the America song "A horse with no name". Good times.

1) Just one U20C leading the empty consist of fuel tank cars. This train is rare here since the tracks where it came from are in bad shape these days. It came from Montes Claros (EMC), about 550 km from here. It will be loaded in EYU yard, about 70 km from here,  and will return to EMC soon;

2) The train and the horses;

3) The tank cars.

Thanks Pedro. Always like seeing your stuff from beautiful Brazil. Keep up the good work.

During a family vacation in July 1972, we drove San Bernardino, California to San Antonio, Texas. The vehicle didn't have air conditioning so it was all windows down in the hot Arizona, New Mexico and Texas desert. We had but two 8-track tapes and one was America's Horse With No Name. We played it over and and over again. Never got tired of it and the song was apropos of the territory, and when hear the title song or a reference, I think back to that wild trip 50 years ago.
