Tom Date: 04/27/22 15:32 Re: A few more of my Chinese stuff Author: pedrop Nice steam trains. I imagine they are only for tourism nowadays. One of these chinese built engines was sent to US years ago. I am wondering how it is nowadays.

There was another 2-8-2 that was shipped to the US but never got here. The ship sank. Date: 04/27/22 22:06 Re: A few more of my Chinese stuff Author: boejoe Excellent photography. If you are willing to post, I am willing to view. Please consider.

Larry Date: 04/28/22 11:34 Re: A few more of my Chinese stuff Author: BM4266 Great photos! I took a similar shot from inside the tunnel. There is another QJ 2-10-2 in Kentucky and another SY 2-8-2 burned in an engine house fire on a shortline in PA and has been rebuilt to operation in Connecticut at the museum on the Valley line. It has been rebuilt to look like a New Haven 2-8-2. The 2-8-2 on the Boone Scenic RR is a JS model.

We tried to get them to do a photo charter in 2006 after their regular service ended. The prices they wanted to charge made it impossible to even consider. No idea where the locos are now. Perhaps someone else can fill in the blanks. Fortunately the two engines that came to Iowa kept their original appearance.
