This year we celebrates 200 years of our independence from Portugal. It is a special holiday, so just a few trains running today. But I could watch VLI narrow gauge C280 here in town yesterday. This common empty hoppers for magnezite had two flat cars with steel this time.

Great video and congrats on VOTD. Gary Date: 09/10/22 10:51 Re: Freight train C280 (Brazil) Author: widowsihler Very interesting indeed, and particularly sweet is the clear shot of how a dual gauge switch can be set up. I've always wondered, now I know. It must be even weirder in Adelaide, Australia, where three diffferent gauges use the same rail yards. (If I'm right about that. Maybe they don't all come together in the same place, but I have memories of photographs of some pretty baffling layouts there.)
