Hi, today I did a trip of 60 km from home to visit Sete Lagoas city. I took advantage of the trip to take a look at EMD plant located there.
1) A view of EMD plant;
2) It looks they are producing more SD70LC to MRS rr;
3) Old SD40's and a scrapped SD70BB stored near the road.

Looks like a nice trip to Sete Lagoas city Pedro. interesting look at EMD plant and equipment. Also interesting look at steam engines and museum items of interest.

What is the story with SD70BB 8353 being scraped?

I think won't be scrapped at all, but sure ir is strange she be sent to those tracks where we have old SD40's that will be used as core for electric "Joule" units. We can perceive the cover of the prime mover was changed scrapped or painted with a prime. It looks that area had a fire. Interesting to note what looks bullet holes in the cab as shown in the picture below.

Thanks as always, Pedro. I love the SD70ACe-bb's. They're one of my favorite locomotives of all time :)

Thanks Zorz, BHP and Union Pacific ordered battery powered SD70J from EMD of Brazil and they will have these BB trucks too.
