Author: pedrop

Today 12/10/22 an FTL freight train crashed with a truck loaded with sand in a crossing level of BR-343 road between Teresina and Altos, PI state. The leading locomotive was an Alco RSD8 that was serious damaged in the cab. The engineer was enjuried and sent to hospital and conductor died in the place.

1 - 2) Randon pictures taken by people on the road at the moment of the accident;

3) A video shows the engines still turned on after the crash.

4 - 6) More small videos. The last one shows the trio of locomotives returning to FTL shops.

It was a sad day for the FTL company and all employees. God bless the conductor's family.
That's all for now.

Always bad when a train hits a heavy dump truck. Very sorry there was a death of a conductor and an injury to a hogger. My prayers with their families.
