International Railroad Discussion > Tires train O481 here in town (Brazil)

Hi, today I had the chance to see the MRS tires train passing in my town during the daylight. It uses to pass here after midnight. 
The containers comes from Savannah, GA and comes to EKE yard in Sete Lagoas, MG city where they are sent to the costumers like Vale and Anglo American mining companies. These are the costumers that use those huge out off road trucks in the iron ore mines around here.

1) AC44i 3933 and 3913 entering EVP yard with the short train if tires;
2 - 3) Containers with tires for out off road trucks.

When I saw "TIres Train" I wondered who sells so many tires in Brazil to ship them by train...but I see these are TIRES....

Yes, these are big tires and beautiful cargo for sure. Sometimes it comes in two set of five articulated well cars. I have seen three different sizes of tires. These seen here are the mid size. The bigger ones are for CAT front loaders.

Are the tires made in the US,  or Brazilian Michelens  put in the containers?

I wonder how long they expect the iron ore to last?

They comes from Savannah GA. The ship Monte Cervantes left US on 11/29/22 and arrived in Rio de Janeiro on 12/26/22.

If the world market continues the current level of consumption, the iron ore reserves here are expected to last more 220 years. I wonder if the humanty will last until then.

The last tires train I saw during the daylight was in October 2021. Many others passed here, but running at night.
