Modified general electric dash 8-39c locomotive number 1030 with paint scheme in honor of conrail.
That locomotive was a former NS number 8604 that arrived in Peru in 2010.

She is very different, for sure. The radiator and trucks are not common. How many Conrail had?

Here in Peru they made some modifications to that locomotive, the radiator, the fuel tank, the nose and the cabin, and they made it so that it can go through the narrow tunnels of the route.

CR had 22 C39-8s, nos. 6000-6021. Here's a shot of two of them on UP trackage at Tower 55 in Fort Worth, TX, in the mid-1980s...

Thanks for the information. Brazil received just one B39-8 from old Conrail. It had a short life here since it had a fire in the electronic cabinets and was scrapped.
