Rumo launches the autism awareness livery ( Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Hi, on April 19, Rumo launched C30-7 9206 with the special livery to the Autism Awareness month (April). The C30-7 9206 will run on all Rumo network to spread the importance of autism awareness.

Pictures from Rumo and Diario do Transporte magazine.

4 - 5) More pics of unit 9206.
BTW, unit 9206 is former Burlignton Northern 5058, SN 42850, built in 1983/03.

That's all for now.

As an autistic person I can appreciate the sentiment, but the puzzle piece thing has been largely rejected by the community. Cool lookin C30 though!

I like how the pilot has a gaping open space below the coupler, just like an Athearn Blue Box HO Scale Locomotive.  There's a prototype for everything.

Why do they call it Blue April?  Just curious

I found this in the internet:

"Campaigns are disseminated largely through the involvement of the media, companies, clinics, hospitals, the pharmaceutical industry, non-governmental organizations, public or private institutions and even with the participation of monuments that are illuminated with the color of the month. That is, the greater the amount of publicity, the greater the chance that the chosen color will be fixed in people's minds and immediately associated with its cause.

Due to autism being considered a mostly male disability, the color chosen to represent autism was blue, which is symbolically and traditionally linked to the male universe.
