Beautiful. Thanks for posting.

Quick Internet search says it takes 3-4 years for rose bushes to reach mature height. Your photos show they likely have achieved that. (Botanists can chime in)

I mention this because when I visited Minowabashi Terminus in 2015, I didn't recall seeing rose bushes nearby. Were these planted as part of the Arakawa Line --> Tokyo Sakura Tram publicity makeover of the streetcar line in 2017? That's about the right time frame.

Looks like more buds are ready to open!

In 1985, a voluntary group from the Arakawa communities was organised to take care of rose gardens along the Arakawa Tram line.
Now, it becomes about a 2+ mile strip of "rose garden" along the tram trucks.
Many thanks to those spending their time and efforts to maintain roses.

Hope this helps

After a few years, the Tokyo Government decided to bring back the named car once again.
The honored car 9001 is now named "The Rose Car" with a designated board on both ends.
