Railfaning with two famous US railfans (Brazil) - part 1
Author: pedrop

On August 13, I received here in my area the US railfans and photographers Chris Guss and Steven Glischinski. We spent eight days railfaning through VLI and MRS railroads in Minas Gerais state. So, in this series, I will show some pictures and videos of our trips.
I am starting with our trip in Caetano Lopes yard in the MRS Paraopeba Line, where the empty trains can take the Loop 1000 to the junction with Ferrovia do Aço (Steel Railroad). It's a busy location, but on that day we had a few trains because it was Maintenance Day in that area.

1 - 3) The beautiful Engenheiro Caetano Lopes station, opened in 1914.

4) AC44i 7378 and 7307 is taking the Loop 1000 to a junction with Ferrovia do Aço ( Steel Railroad);

5) It was a very hot and dry day, so Steven walks back to the shade after to get some shots of the empty ore;

6)  I found this old Chevy abandonned near the tracks.
