International Railroad Discussion > The Fall lights (Brazil)

Today afternoon, I passed by EVP yard and could see train C059 with one Vale Dash-9 and fifteen gondolas loaded with wire coils switching on track 4. The Fall lights are very nice to photographs trains and it is my favourite season here.

1 - 3) Vale 1309 is one if the last BB40-9W's built and we can see it is wearing a new painting job and some improvements to s3curity applyed to the walkways.

5) GFD class gondola with an old grey painting;

6) GFD class gondola in the brown livery.

Nice Fall color in your area and interesting wire cars.

The loco is quite unique and the cars are, well, wonderful.  What are the silver  ?? dangling form each door on the first and one other gondola?

Hi, those are pieces of nylon strings that were used to tie the canvas usedto protect other cargos.
