FCAB Chile in February
Author: masterphots

Here are some odds n' ends of FCAB, all taken in February 17-19, 2025

1.  NF210 1420W at Los Vientos siding,  close to the port of Mejillones.   On the other side of the low ridge is the Pacific Ocean.
2-3   GE C23-EMP 2604W arrives at Cumbre for a crew change.  Ahead is the six to eight hour slog to Calama with the empty tank cars.   Some will be dropped off en route.

4.  EMD GT42AC 3205W leaves Gaviota siding with copper cathodes and loaded sulphuric acid tanks.   2/17/25
5.  EMD GT42AC 3211E snakes its way downhill into Gaviota.  2/18/25.   The empty copper concentrate containers are headed to the BHP Spence mine,  located near Sierra Gorda.

Photo 3 really shows the overhang of the frame, forward of the front truck, on C23-EMP 2604.
