Train C580 here in town (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Today afternoon I watched VLI empty magnesite train C580 departing from Vespasiano to Brumado, a trip of more than 1,000 km.

1 - 3) The crew arriving to take train C580 with empty hoppers for magnesite ore.

4 - 5) Passing by the retaining wall near Liz Cement Co. The broad gauge  locomotives almost touch that wall when running on the track #1 seen here;

6) The video.

That's all for today.

Love your posts. Also love that chug sound. Was the mid-train helper a DPU or was it a manned helper?

Hi, thanks to enjoy my posts.
That is a DPU. The trains to Bahia state use DPU each 10 to 15 cars to prevent derailments since the tracks are very old with light rails and very old ties.
