International Railroad Discussion > Cement train O772 (Brazil)Date: 08/09/25 15:22 Cement train O772 (Brazil) Author: pedrop Today morning I met the MRS cement train O772 passing through the yard here in town. It had a few box cars for cement in bags, a bunch of TPR class cars for bult cement and many empty HAT class hoppers that brought slag to former Holcim cement factory, now owned by CSN group.
1) MRS C44-9W 3933 leads the train; 2) Train O772 on Main 1, while VLI U20Cs rest on Main 3 with a consist of empty containers for limestone; 3) TPR class cement cars wearing the former Holcim livery. 5) EVP yard; 6) The video. That's all for today. Enjoy! Pedro Pedro Rezende Vespasiano MG, https://youtube.com/c/minasgeraisrailways1 You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Join Today! gone awry because of trying to soften the plastic for some dented - weathering - in-use conditions. George Andrassy Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/09/25 19:15 by Auburnrail. Date: 08/10/25 10:37 Re: Cement train O772 (Brazil) Author: tomstp I like those 5 box cars. Don't see many of those.

I agree that the bulk cement tank cars are really interesting. I don't recall seeing cars like this previously. It looks like someone dropped a beam on top of a tank car causing it to buckle in the middle before subsequently sawing off the bottom and mounting it on a flatcar. Date: 08/11/25 16:05 Re: Cement train O772 (Brazil) Author: pedrop The cement tank cars are not mounted on a flat cars. They have a frame special made for them. They are classified here in TPR and TPS for broad gauge, and TPD for narrow gauge. The "T" stands for Tank. "P" means it transports products that are unload by pressurized air . "R" and "S" means maximum load of 65 cubic meters and 100 gross tons. "D" means 49.5 cubic meters and 80 gross tons.
7) Note the tube for unload cement. It connects to a pipe system that transfer the cement direct to the silos; 8) Liz trucks have the same profile of the tank cars; 9) Liz TPS class cement car. broken_link Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Thank you for sharing these photos and video, > Pedro. > > I agree that the bulk cement tank cars are really > interesting.
