Remarkable Viaduct-Tunnel Complex in China
Author: Ray_Murphy

I stumbled across this by accident - it shows the convergence of five high-speed rail lines in the Wudang District just to the east of city of Guiyang in Guizhou.

This is not a railroad bridge but made the news the last few days. 2000 ft!

Watch: World's highest bridge opens in China

None of the five bridges shown in the O.P.'s message are the new highway bridge 2,000 feet above a
canyon in China.  The new highway bridge is a suspension bridge.   None of the other five shown in the
photo are suspension bridges.

Looks like a model railroad!

No one said the railroad bridges were suspension bridges. I was just showing another example of how impressive Chinese bridges are. The Chinese are building impressive infrastructure all over the world.

Visually impressive photo! Thanks for sharing.

I got curious (because I'm allegedly a railfan) and searched satellite view maps to see how the lines converged to the west... Guiyang East Station, 6 platforms, 16 tracks. Impressive, too.

Then further west, the multiple tracks intersect with a north/south line for even more impressive flying junction. And through all that, even more tunnels due to the hilly/mountainous geography.

The north/south line goes south to Guiyang North station, 25 platforms, 50 tracks!

So beyond the impressive photo, there's even more impressive railroading happening at Guiyang. Easy to discover this info, in English, Google Maps, wikipedia, etc.

Sometimes we wander off topic too soon...

Seems like something to me that is beyond a model railroader's dreams and imagination.
