Between October 4 and November 3, JR East was celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the completion of the Yamanote Line Loop.

The initial segment was called the Shinagawa Line, an end-to-end line that started service in 1885. Merger of two lines became the initial Yamanote Line (still not a loop) in 1909. 1925 was when the entire loop was completed and started service.

I caught the 2 "wrapped" E235s during the month long celebration. If you caught them, too, I don't feel bad posting my video captures, because I know you would have gotten much better looking shots. :-)

Nice shot and catch at Yoyogi!

- Silver end with narrow green stripe, celebrating the Class 205 (1984-2005).
- Solid green end, celebrating the Class 103 (1964-1988).
- Close up of the 100th Anniversary drumhead.
