Enoden Line's Oldest Set in Enoshima Japan

Enoden 305 departs Enoshima Station for Kamakura. Unit 305, built by Tokyu Car Corporation in 1962 and rebuilt in 1990, operates as part of set 305–355 and is the oldest active car on the Enoshima Electric Railway. It retains its wooden flooring and original steel carbody dimensions from the 1960s design. The Enoden headquarters and main maintenance facility are visible at right, adjacent to the outbound curve toward Koshigoe. 10/14/25 Charles Freericks

Are these "fake old?" I rode them in 2012, when my son lived in Kamakura.

Yeah, "retro-futurism." First of your photo is Class 10, made in 1995 to commermorate the 95th Anniversary of Enoden. I caught it during a "time out" in middle of another railfan mission earlier this year:
