St Kitts Scenic Railway
Author: livesteamer

I got word from a good friend who is visiting St Kitts this past week that he managed to take the shore excursion that included a ride on the St Kitts Scenic Railway.  My wife and I rode that little tourist line about 4 years ago.  He past me information that the railway has acquired a new locomotive but had no other details.  Anyone have an idea where the loco might have been built or a picture of the new engine?.  I have included a couple of pictures from the railroad.

Back in 2012 they announced they were building an new diesel hydraulic locomotive on B trucks. Wonder if they just now got that finished.

Would this be Saint Kitts, officially Saint Christopher, an island in the West Indies. The west side of the island borders the Caribbean Sea, and the eastern coast faces the Atlantic Ocean. Saint Kitts and the neighbouring island of Nevis constitute one country: the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Thanks for posting the photos.
