A strange rr bridge in in Jungle (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

I saw these pics in facebook of a strange type of rr bridge lost in the Amazon forest in Para state, here in Brazil. . It was part of ancient Bragança rr, openned in 1884 and closed in 1960. The steel poles used to support the bridge is uncommon here. Can someone tell me who produced this type of bridge? I imagine is was built by European countries like England or Scotland.

The support posts appear to be cast iron, very popular with British Railway builders back in the late 19th Century.
