International Railroad Discussion > A snake that stopped the train (Brazil)Date: 03/02/26 17:40 A snake that stopped the train (Brazil) Author: pedrop It happened today in the VLI Pirapora branch. A grain train had the emergency brakes applied while running in the woods. The engineer walked along the consist to look for the problem and found an openned coupler and a big"Jiboia" snake (boa constrictor) around the air brake nose and on the coupler opening lever. The suspicion is that the snake openned the coupler while forcing the muscles around the opening lever.
