FBO: an yard that looks like a field (Brazil)
Author: pedrop

Here are a few pics from Barreiro yard (FBO) in Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais state. The yard is located just 35 km from my town. At this time of the year, the grass cover all the ballast and the yard looks like a football field.

1) A train of diesel for MRS locomotives pass through FBO yard. Picture from Landerson Egg;

2) Switching operations;

3) A train odf pig iron arriving in the yard. The last two pics from Paulo Henrique.

Interesting and attractive.   Any issue with slippery rail?

In the past it was permitted to use chemical near the cities, but in last two decades  it is prohibited to use chemicals near ciies or rivers. So, it is necessary to to remove the weed mechanically.
